At Nrityam Odissi Dance Centre, structured learning and artistic discipline form the foundation of every student’s journey. To encourage sincere practice and continuous progress, Nrityam conducts Annual Examinations every year across all branches of the institution.

These examinations assess students on various aspects of dance education, including technique, rhythm, expression, theoretical understanding, stage discipline, and overall artistic development.
Based on the evaluation, students securing 1st, 2nd, and 3rd positions across the branches are specially recognised for their dedication and excellence.

These meritorious students are honoured with the Award of Excellence during Nrityam’s annual cultural celebration Sanskriti, our yearly gathering that showcases artistic achievements and collective growth.

The Award of Excellence is not only a recognition of performance but also a celebration of perseverance, sincerity, and commitment towards the art form. Through this initiative, Nrityam aims to inspire young dancers to strive for higher standards while nurturing respect for tradition and the Guru–Shishya parampara.
